Nicolas PilonSCCMLeave a Comment

We have enabled WMI class WIN32_Volume a few weeks ago. The goal was to inventory Mount Point. Before giving data to client, we have noticed a difference in the result between SQL database and WMI Instances. Problem The majority of mount point in SQL database in SCCM 2012 for v_GS_Volume have NULL to Capacity and FreeSpace columns. Executing the WMI query from the InventoryAgent.log contains no issue and the data is visible locally on the server. This confirms that the problem is not locally on the problematic client. Looking to the next step, the MP_HINV.log on the site server shows error invalid … Read More

Error Could not access network location APPDATA in ccmsetup

I came accross Could not access network location APPDATA errors in ccmsetup.log during a SCCM client installation. Ccmsetup.log records ccmsetup.exe tasks for client setup, client upgrade, and client removal. Can be used to troubleshoot client installation problems. It’s the place to look if your client installation is not working. Client log files provide more detailed information for troubleshooting. The log files don’t require a fallback status point. I had an interesting issue during a migration project from SCCM 2007. After the reassign process, some distribution points were constantly re-importing packages. They were stuck in an importing package loop during distribution point migration I found this issue when I went to see the configuration status of the distribution points (Monitoring / Distribution Status / Distribution Point Configuration Status) All problematic Distribution Points were having “pending” tasks even if the reassign process was completed. The DP were functioning correctly and packages that were marked as “Importing” were on the DP. When looking at distmgr.log I could see the import tasks repeatedly … Read More
